Perhaps you haven't been feeling quite like yourself. You've been getting frequent colds or you have a nagging cough that just won't go away. Maybe you're plagued with high cholesterol, a sluggish liver or you've been diagnosed as "pre-diabetic". You know you have to do something but you aren't sure where to begin using natural methods. Fasting is out of the question for you since you experience sugar lows and hyperglycemic reactions.
Relax, you're not stuck. You're actually in luck.
Edgar Cayce, the most documented prophet and father of holistic medicine, created the most simple and effective way to remove toxins from the body using food. His most popular and effective health recommendation involved eating the fastest food on earth -- red apples.
Ever hear the old adage "An Apple A Day Keeps The Doctor Away?" Turns out there's truth to it. It is for this reason, Cayce recommended apples for healing. However, Cayce did not intend the apple diet to be a "diet." It was intended for the sole purpose of cleansing and healing since red apples have more potent disease fighting antioxidants than their green and yellow counterparts according to research at Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada. What's most important is the phytonutrients in apples help to regulate the blood sugar.
To begin simply wake-up and continue eating apples for three days. But first, be sure to have the following on hand:
- An adequate supply of organic, red apples (preferably the red delicious variety)
- Pure water as needed.
- Three tablespoons of cold-pressed quality olive oil.
To help remove toxins from the body start eating two red apples for every meal during a time that you procure adequate rest. You can have 6-8 red apples each day. At the end of the third day, after the last meal, take three tablespoons of quality olive oil. Begin the fourth day with light meals, like citrus fruit for breakfast and slowly and gradually increase your meals for the day. Cayce had this to say about getting adequate rest during this time:
A "regular Apple Diet would be well for the body - but don't try to work like a horse when you are on the Apple Diet! or else we will find it will be more detrimental than helpful!" (Cayce)
